Today it's Jackie Smith's turn to share a catalyst that packs a punch. This Harvard Business Review article by Michael Maccoby looks at the concept of narcissism, and how it applies to leadership. Controversial? Well, Maccoby argues that narcissism isn't necessarily a bad thing.
"Productive narcissists are not only risk takers willing to get the job done but also charmers who can convert the masses with their rhetoric. The danger is that narcissism can turn unproductive when, lacking self-knowledge and restraining anchors, narcissists become unrealistic dreamers."
